Our story

A little corner of Portugal in Ferndale.

At Cataplana, the table is generous, the welcome is warm, and the flavours travel straight from Portugal’s coast to Randburg.

Named after the copper clam-shaped pan of the Algarve, Cataplana specialises in slow-steamed seafood, flame-grilled favourites and hearty Portuguese classics made to be shared.
